Grant J. Sheehan is CEO of Sheehan's Consulting LLC, a firm specializing in association management, credit union consulting; leadership development, strategic planning, director’s responsibilities, meeting facilitator and disaster preparedness/recovery.
Mr. Sheehan, founded the annual Firefighters Credit Union Conference in 2001, he also established the National Coalition of Firefighters Credit Unions to represent firefighter credit unions nationwide and holds the position of Executive Director of the Coalition.
He is a regular speaker on issues related to Board Management Relationships, Board Governance, Board Duties and Responsibilities and Peer 2 Peer relationships.
Mr. Sheehan served on the Board of Miami Firefighters Federal Credit Union for 15 years, 12 as Chairman. Upon his retirement, after 28 years of service with the Miami Fire Department, he served as the credit unions CEO for 10 years.
Grant is presently the Executive Director/CEO of a non-profit corporation he formed call the National Coalition of Firefighters Credit Unions Inc. NCOFCU www.ncofcu.org
Henry has been an active member of his credit union since 1964. He began his volunteer service to the credit union and its members in 1968 when he was appointed to the Supervisory Committee and served several years as Chairman until 1978. In 1978 he moved to the Credit review Committee and served several years as Chairman until 1988. In 1988 he was elected to the Board of Directors and held the positions of Treasurer, Vice-Chairman and Chairman until 2007. As Chairman and Executive Committee member, he worked closely with management and other board members to enhance the safety and soundness of the credit union.
